Thinking individuals RTFA and woudl have coe across this:"The CMPA study compares ABC, CBS ( CBS - news - people ) and NBC evening news shows and the first half hour of Fox News Channel's Special Report, which most closely resembles its broadcast news counterparts. (CNN and MSNBC have no comparable flagship evening news show; more on Fox's polarizing talk shows momentarily.)"If you ignore 90% of Fox News, yes, perhaps they are fair and balanced. When you throw in Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity (what happened to Alan Colmes?) then the scales go all wobbly and come crashing down on the side of Fox News propagating complete and utter *****. What this study did not appear to test for is news accuracy either. It's basically who said more positive vs. negative comments about the politicians. Last I checked, news was about facts and getting information right, not the warm fuzzies or berating someone because it "feels" like good journalism.I won't even get into the credibility of the center responsible for this "study".
