Unbelievable work there. Really shows that you're only limited by the breadth of your imagination, not the tools you have.
Lets see the department try to defend this one.

There have been times where the wayback machine has definitely saved data that otherwise would have gone poof, forever. Case in point: I was looking for some info on an old synthesizer -- there was a page written by a musician containing a treasure-trove of reverse-engineered info he'd compiled over the years including ZIP archives of undocumented system-exclusive messages and file/disk formats.. unbeknownst to him, the archives on his server had become corrupted about a year before I visited. This info was NOWHERE else on the net since he wrote it all himself, and he'd not backed the files up (yes, stupid on his part).Anyway, long story short, the wayback machine had archived his intact ZIP files, which I helpfully emailed to him and he repaired his site :). Yes, he should have backed up his site, but he didn't, and the knowledge would have been lost forever otherwise. If you're so against the internet archive, I sincerely hope you never write anything useful on your site so no one depends on it..
***** yeah! \m/ ROCK ON! \m/// All the way to 11 and all that.!

I think Digg needs more articles on the ups and downs of the Apple App Store approval process. The 49873459-87345 others just aren't enough.?

Actually, the articles I've seen about the upcoming Warren Spector 'Epic Mickey' make reference that they're going back to the early incarnations of Mickey as more of a daredevil/clown/mischief-maker as oppsoed to the more solemn 'host' role he's been used in for decades.

"So you are saying you have no problems with that practice?"No, what he's saying is:"To blame that for the entire price movement of oil as a commodity is extreme."Skipped over that sentance huh?"Now, what good can be gained by having that system, besides boatloads of money for the people artificially raising the price of the commodity?"None? Did he imply that it was good? Or bad? JohnGalt750 was trying to explain what is really going on so that us people who aren't wall st tycoons can get a grip on the situation. It seems to me you are implying that he approves of the current situation because he has knowledge that you do not.Not the case.If you don't think what they are doing is good, you can do something about it! The answer is in the quote you so kindly quoted!"If you feel these organizations are pricing oil artificially then you can make a killing by shorting oil for it's eventual price collapse."If you are so sure the current system is corrupt, put your money where your mouth is and buy some stock and short it.For disclosure, I hate the SEC and do think wall street is corrupt beyond repair. I'm just playing devil's advocate because a lot of people like to get themselves all riled up without fully understanding the situation.

People wouldn't get nearly as enthusiastic about protecting wildlife if they can never see them in person. |
