People keep saying this. What the hell. Sandman is a SERIES of graphic novels, each of which could be individually adapted. Stop treating it like a ***** opera! You don't have to see the birth and death of a character for it to be an enjoyable story. Was there nothing to "A Doll's House" if you don't know about "The Wake"? How did it manage to be enjoyable when it was written and released, then?Saying they can't make a movie of the Sandman is like saying they can't make a movie of Phillip Marlowe. Well no ***** you can't make a movie "OF PHILLIP MARLOWE," but you can make one of "The Big Sleep" or of "Farewell my Lovely" or... Bah. I'm sick of these franchise movies anyway so I don't know why I care about the shortsightedness involved anymore. It's just part of the game.
