Plenty of incidents everywhere, one in particular that I recall was on Digg a few months back of an old man being plowed down by a car in Connecticut if I remember correctly. Nobody stopped for assistance as this old man lay dying in the street. As for this incidence, if you're a full grown man and are not capable of restraining a 10 year old girl without a tase,r time to hand over the badge. I have a couple of friends that became state troopers and I know their jobs can be tough, but some of this behavior regarding cops lately is getting out of control.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t4wWGH51-A Old man getting plowed down.
The scale problem that Twitter has is immense. It doesn't matter that the data is very simple, when you have that much data flowing in at once, trying to store and retrieve it at a reasonable rate and synchronizing across multiple servers becomes a tremendously difficult task. Particularly when you have to shore up the system's software and hardware without simply cutting off access and pulling the plug for a few hours at a time.And thus was born the failwhale.

According to the article... What rivalry? It seems like KOSPI index is out perfoming Nikkei by a mile..
I use google for regular searches because once you learn how to use "quotes" and other such operators, it works very well. If I need to hunt down an image or video though, I love the way bing operates. Videos have previews, and with images you can just scroll down and it will continue loading new images. Google definitely needs to work on their images and video searches to match bing.!

yeah, this is the first i've heard of it too. as someone who doesn't drink often, but drinks heavily when I do, i feel like i've missed out on something great. |
