"The Nazi version, which removed the religious references and replaced them with images of snowy fields, remains in some song books and is sung in many households. The same goes for carols referring to Virgin Birth and lullabies that invoke the Baby Jesus. The rewriting was supervised by the chief Nazi ideologist Alfred Rosenberg and Heinrich Himmler led the way in de-Christing Christmas.Their plan was to remove the emotional ties of the Church and merge Christmas into a Julfest, a celebration of winter and light which drew on pagan traditions."I see absolutely nothing wrong with that."Christmas" is an ancient pagan winter festival, and is still called "Jul" in Scandinavia. The Coca Cola "Santa Claus" and the rampant consumerism has squeezed Jesus right out of today's "Christ"mas, anyway. "In ancient Babylon, the feast of the Son of Isis (Goddess of Nature) was celebrated on December 25. Raucous partying, gluttonous eating and drinking, and gift-giving were traditions of this feast." Hmmm, perhaps little has changed, after all?http://www.essortment.com/all/christmaspagan_rece. ...I'm not so sure about little toy grenades hanging on the tree, though. Do they go "pop"?
You know whats worse than being a bitter Chiefs fan? Being an Oakland fan last weekend.

“I just watched a debt consoling show on CNBC last night. The couple could not afford shoes for their kid, but had spent $1200 on landscaping the week prior. A vast majority of peoples problems are of their own doing.

She is just a celebrity cashing in now, so why does she deserve respect again?.
Yeah, as somebody working in a hospital, I cannot fathom any of our staff members not doing everything in their ability to save somebody's life in the ER whether they have insurance or do not.!

It does not even define "had to eat less." Less than what, the day before? subsistence level? three pizzas at a sitting? People are getting so fat we have special carts to haul their asses around wal-mart. I have never read a story about an American being found dead because they could not get food.More "let's trash the USA" liberal journalistic BS

yeah, let's just call it what it is, a liberal shill. That's fine and all, let the market decide what it wants... but let's not kid ourselves with making fun of foxnews without calling out newsweek and msnbc in the same breath for the same thing.
