Buy a used CD for $6 (or less) via eBay, Amazon used or your local used record store. It's the same price as iTunes assuming you like at least 5 songs off it, plus you get a lossless source CD (which becomes an instant backup once you rip it), album art and liner notes.
Did you even read the article?

“I have to admit it myself, that format is so easy to digest. It doesn't matter that much if you agree with the ranking or not. It doesn't hurt that you can break it up into multiple pages so easily, multiplying your ad revenue.

The Queens husband can say ***** like (talking to Britishers visiting china): "If you stay here much longer, you’ll all be slitty-eyed". Yet he doesn't get hauled up to explain his stupidity. Nothing he says can ruin his 'career'.VOTING for elected representatives FTW.?
His work there was focused ON the shuttle computers. That doesn't seem too difficult to grasp. |

Is it just Americans, though? It might be more acute in America, but it's an attitude through-out the Western world. Revering the intellect and man's achievements, his ability to reason above all else. Inadvertently, that has been twisted to a point that people are so self centered that death is unthinkable. Makes folks somewhat neurotic. This is an area where religion COULD do some good, if the will to do so existed. Help people prepare for death, with dignity and understanding. Instead, people are frightened witless, just so the religious institutions can satisfy themselves at the expense of the very people they claim to care for.

1 - Tucker Torpedo - Too much untested technology in a car. Current carmakers test new gadgets for years before they see the light of day, because they have to last a long time, and a single warranty repair can blow the profit margin on most cars.2 - QUBE - This actually looked pretty sweet. Must have cost a small fortune doing this with analog technology.3 - DAT - Sony *did* implement the DRM, it was called something like serial copy management system. It was a pain in the ass and made DAT decks cost a ton. 4 - HyperCard - This was pretty innovative, but not ahead of it's time. OpenDoc was ahead of it's time.5 - Phillips CD-I - The hardware completely sucked. It wasn't ahead of it's time, it was behind the curve if anything. LaserDiscs could do most of the things CD-I could do, but better.6 - Gopher - Also not ahead of it's time, it was a logical progression from the proto-WAIS projects of the late 80's.7 - Newton - Meh. They were cool at the time, but not as game-changing as the iPhone.8 - LiveJournal - Meh^2.9 - Danger HipTop - The what? A crappy camcorder bolted onto a phone is ahead of it's time?10 - Friendster - Yet another "social" site? These are all progressions from having a homepage, they just make it easier to link to other people and integrate content. The only thing groundbreaking about them is that they are popular.Get off my lawn!!
