I'm not sure about the end goal, but when I first got here, I used it to find obscure tech stories, then to bookmark a variety of stuff and now it's almost a bunch of mini forums (the comments sections) based around the individual stories. I comment on a lot more stories than I digg. I use the actual digg function to bookmark stories, not as a "like" button. However, when I digg a comment it is a "like".

The *only* reason they agreed to bump some of them up to $1.29 was to get the labels to agree to get rid of DRM across the board (plus, they did double the bitrate from 128 to 256, whatever that's worth).Yes, the price increase sucks, but you can blame the labels for that, not Apple/iTunes; for that matter, if it weren't for iTunes, the labels would still be forcing everyone to pay $18 for a full CD with perhaps 1-2 good songs on it.

When a scientologist breaks the law it's usually done at the bidding of the organization.The pope, like other German youth, was forced into the Hitler Youth... almost 70 years ago. David Miscavige is holding people at Gold Base *today*.I'm a former Catholic and I don't like the church's stance on many social issues. But to claim in 2009 it's a criminal organization on par with Scientology is extremely disingenuous and shows a complete lack of knowledge on the subject matter. |
