Not surprising. Glenn Beck has been displaying his bigotry since he was on CNN:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgbg604XqPY.

Danny DeVito wins for the best first tweet:"I just joined Twitter! I don't really get this site or how it works. My nuts are on fire."http://twitter.com/Danny_DeVito/status/3785365466?
Defriend is the verb and Unfriend is the noun. Stupid dictionaries! |

Good question, it's their squeaky clean mentality way of doing business to be honest. Just trying to deal with them, they treat you like crap. Typical nerd that now thinks they're trendy stuff. It's hard to explain, but you can't deal with musicians and labels like you do corporate clients, we don't operate that way, we're not your average office workers. That's why we got into the creative business in the first place. To be honest I stopped talking to them two years ago and we now use a Digital aggregator who deals with that stuff for us. Most digital stores, Beatport, Juno etc. etc. at least you can talk to them as music lovers and give them say a percentage deal for exclusive front page spreads etc. With Apple it was just ( if you ever got a reply from them ) you do it our way, or you don't do it at all.I mean with the LP thing, even if we had that kind of money to spend, why in hell would we want to deal with a corporate sourced graphic designer, what possible creative input from a street level would somebody like that have. I'm not really interested in your qualifications or where you went to school, I want to know you went out getting ***** up in the clubs, listening to the music, or hung with a bunch of skaters or artists or creatives and you're bringing that to the table Monday morning as inspiration, not how you dug the coffee at ***** starbucks on the way to work. Different mentality... completely, couldn't deal with it.

I agree in a sense Woolly, but the rich aren't overly to blame on an individual level. There is a large gap developing between the rich and the poor in developed countries (I'm in the UK, but I imagine the US are in a similar situation). Gotbanned, I feel you overestimate the amount of money paid into the economy by the uber-rich. The way I see it, the majority of multi-millionaires and billionaires generally (and unwittingly) share the wealth between themselves. Think of it this way, the majority of purchases for the rich are going to be from other rich people. Designer clothes and accessories, high-end sports cars, dinner in upmarket restuarants, stays in 5 star hotels etc. What we have in essence is two markets, the luxury high-end merchandise and the "cheap and cheerful" variety. The way capitalism works means that for every fortune created, someone has to lose out as we do not have an infinite supply of money, and I think this leads to a larger number of people on the breadline than we've seen before, due to the higher number of rich people in the world today. I believe it's an inherent failing of the system, rather than the greed of people.
